Mel’s Magnificent Cheesecakes began in 1996 at Clark Atlanta University when founder Jamel ‘Mel’ Fladger baked a cheesecake to impress a crush. It quickly became a campus sensation, with Mel selling slices and securing deals with local stores. After finishing at Clark Atlanta University, Mel continued selling cheesecakes in Georgia and New York through word-of-mouth. Over the years, MMCheesecakes has expanded, serving community events, bodegas in LeFrak City, and holding Pop-Up Shops in NY, CT, NJ, GA, and Dubai. We’re known for customizable flavors, from traditional (plain, strawberry) to unique customer creations like Dyno-Bites cereal or Chico Stick, with various crust options.
