We started this business in 2015 to bring a homemade taste of the islands to Brooklyn. Every one of our flavors has a story that is tied to our prior lives back in Trinidad and Tobago. Our premium flavors are made with natural ingredients, most of which are sourced directly from the Caribbean. We take pride in every scoop and spoonful that leaves our kitchen – and you can taste the quality in every bite. Island Pops was started in 2015 by married couple, Khalid Hamid and Shelly Marshall. The two wanted to bring a homemade taste of the Islands to Brooklyn through their carefully handcrafted premium ice cream, ice pops and sorbets. Their frozen treats are carefully made with a handful of natural ingredients, most of which are sourced directly from the Caribbean. The result is desserts filled with authentic and robust flavors that bring the beauty of the island to their wide array of customers.
