Because I kept seeing the same thing over and over — people who had been struggling for years, bouncing between providers, feeling dismissed, over-medicated, or handed a diagnosis that didn’t quite fit. They weren’t being seen.
I created Mind Garden to be something different. A place where the appointment doesn’t end when the prescription is written. Where we ask why you’re struggling — not just what you’re struggling with. Where you leave feeling like a partner in your own care, not a patient moving through a queue.
What makes your approach different from other psychiatrists?
Most psychiatric care lives in a silo. You get a diagnosis, you get a prescription, you come back in 90 days. But your mental health doesn’t exist in a silo — it’s connected to your sleep, your hormones, your nutrition, your nervous system, your stress load. All of it.
My training in functional medicine principles means I bring a root-cause lens to psychiatric care. Before I make any recommendations, I want to understand the whole picture — not just the symptoms you’re presenting with today.
