The difference is Love. I care about my attendees, and if they’re having a good time. I care about the voice in their head that tells them what they’re doing is “ugly” or “wrong.” I ensure that everyone is caught up with the steps, and I check on my people. I ensure that my attendees are having fun, and if they need help, I help them. On top of that, my directions are very specific and also entertaining – laughing helps a LOT when teaching! Plus, glow and pour painting.
She began teaching the thing she knew the most about. Art.
Kaui began teaching art classes at her local Rec Center. They were the longest running, most grossing class for the Center at the time! But she wasn’t making any money. The city was taking a large chunk of everything she was making. One day, one of her students encouraged her to start her own business. Kaui was reluctant. She had never owned a business before, and the idea both scared and excited her. So she took a leap of faith, and began her journey to entrepreneurship.
Kaui started the Art & Sip in 2015, with the tiny amount of supplies she had! She attended as many meetings and events as she possibly could, to learn about entrepreneurship and marketing.
Starting her small business was the most powerful thing she had ever done for herself. Kaui loved creating, and she loves forming relationships with like-minded individuals that share her same passions and interests.
