Art Therapy is a therapeutic technique which allows you to explore various issues through art-making that can sometimes be difficult to express through traditional talk therapy. The process of creating art can foster healing, increase self-awareness, and provide personal empowerment. Art Therapy is a unique form of therapy that allows you to take an active and creative role in the treatment process. No previous art experience is needed, as you don’t have to be good at art to benefit from art therapy. The focus is on the process of creating the art rather than the final image. View 22 Photos I offer Art Therapy to children, teens and families in person & telehealth. Art Therapy creates a safe space to explore your needs, work through difficult situations and reach your goals. Many children don’t like to talk about what’s going on in their lives, art is a way to give them a space to explore and express their emotions in a non-threatening way. In addition to the areas listed, I also have experience working with blended families, interacial relationships and struggles with being bi-racial or multi-ethnic. I have worked with youth in foster care. I also have experience working with a variety of cultures, which includes members of tribal communities here in AZ.
