My approach to therapy is to compassionately keep it real. In this work, you and I are equal partners. You are the expert in your life and experiences, and I am the expert in the science of change. I have over 20 years of experience and address issues such as stress, anxiety, depression, challenges with attention, and how all of that can sometimes manifest physically in our bodies. I use evidence-based approaches such as motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, and elements of dialectical behavioral therapy. As a trained yoga teacher, I can also integrate elements of breathing and postures, if that is of interest to you. My favorite quotes are: “Caring for myself is not self-indulgence. It is self-preservation, and that is an act of political warfare,” and “I am deliberate and afraid of nothing,” both by Audre Lorde. I’m grateful for the opportunity to serve you and help you live your healthiest and happiest life. You deserve to be heard and cared for by someone who gets it.
